Hi there! My name is Catherine Montour, and I’m so excited to welcome you to the Bayou Aroma blog. If you’re new here, let me introduce myself. I’m originally from Madisonville, Louisiana. I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in interior design, and while I work full-time as a designer, my love for all things creative led me to this adventure—Bayou Aroma.
How it Began:
Bayou Aroma started as a happy accident. A good friend of mine originally founded the business as Perfume Parties but was looking to step away. When I saw the opportunity, I knew this was something special. Not only did it offer a creative outlet, but it also gave me a chance to connect with my community in a unique way. Since taking over, I’ve had an absolute blast meeting new faces and helping people create custom fragrances that are as unique as they are. There’s something truly magical about watching someone discover their perfect scent blend, and I’m honored to be a part of that process.
What’s This About?
This blog will be a space where I share everything from scent combinations and fragrance education to behind-the-scenes insights on running a small business. Whether you’re a fragrance lover, a curious beginner, or someone who simply enjoys the art of creation, I hope you’ll find inspiration here.
